Kids’ Collection shortlisted for NMA 2024
‘Puzzler KIDS’ COLLECTION’ has been shortlisted for Newsstand Magazine of The Year – Children’s!
This is a huge achievement for a new and unknown magazine, which has fought off many high-profile children’s magazines in the hotly contested category. ‘Puzzler KIDS’ COLLECTION’ appears as a finalist alongside some pretty big names, including Barbie, Bluey and Pokemon magazines.
Back in the nineties, we launched ‘Quiz Kids’ magazine, which proved itself a firm favourite with youngsters for nearly 30 years. But although it was the market leader in children’s puzzle magazines, ‘Quiz Kids’ desperately needed to evolve. We wanted to ensure our offering was brought bang up-to-date by being fully inclusive, relatable and engaging to Gen Alpha and beyond.
Puzzle magazines are often a parental purchase, so it was essential that whatever changes we made, they would need the seal of approval from parents and carers, and not just the children. We took a bold step and closed ‘Quiz Kids’ to launch something new: ‘Puzzler KIDS’ COLLECTION’.
Our new content features inclusive design; bespoke puzzles integrated with the latest characters, films and shows; exciting competitions; totally puzzle-based pages, bigger in size; more puzzles than other magazines; higher grade paper for more vibrant colours; and a free natural-wood pencil.
‘Puzzler KIDS’ COLLECTION’ flew off the shelves and brought a whole new set of puzzle fans to the newsstand! Our magazine was the key driver of growth in the children’s puzzle sub-category, capturing 57% of the market, and achieved the number one spot – all in less than a year!
The 2024 ACE NMAs ceremony will be held on 22 May at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London.
