Divide a grid of squares into blocks according to simple logical rules.
As with all the best logical puzzles, the rules of Cell Block (aka Shikaku) are simple. We present the solver with a grid of squares, some of which contain numbers. The solver’s challenge is to divide the grid squares into blocks that are either rectangular or square.
Each block must contain a single number, and that number must correspond with the number of squares in the block – so, for example, the number 3 will be contained in a three-square rectangular block.
Cell Block puzzles come in a variety of sizes, with difficulty level generally increasing with grid size.
