Place the numbers 1-9 in the grid to make the sums work.
Solving a Set Square requires a combination of simple arithmetic and logic. We give the solver a grid in which six sums, three reading across and three reading down, intersect. The mathematical operations – divide, multiply, add, subtract – are given in the grid. The solver’s challenge is to place each of the numbers 1 to 9 in their correct positions in the grid to make the sums work.
Each number should be used once only. The sums should be solved from left to right, or from top to bottom.
Set Square is a small puzzle, useful when space on the printed page is limited.
