Form as many words as possible from the letters provided.
A staple of newspaper puzzle pages, a Word Wheel can be played by anyone – it will test the range of their vocabulary. Eight letters sit in a circle around a ninth letter in the centre. The solver’s challenge is to come up with as many words as possible (avoiding foreign words, plurals and proper nouns) using each letter once only and always the central letter. The nine letters will themselves form at least one word, for which we may provide the solver with a clue.
Essentially, there is no fixed solution – there are as many answers as words the solver knows (which may include obscure, archaic and technical ones). For that reason, we like to challenge solvers to reach a target number of words.
